Blink Collective is a marketplace for experiences. We’re a start-up company with investment and already we offer over 600 experiences across the UK.
We are investing heavily to promote our experience marketplace and specifically we are looking to work with Baristas across the country to offering an “Introductory Coffee Experience”.X
We are looking to boost awareness of barista training through key partnership across the UK. Our key partners, in cities across the UK, will offer the following -
- a 60+ minutes ‘Introduction to Coffee’ course - to help people get a flavour and understanding of coffee.
- a £30 price point.
In our initial marketing push, we will drive sales for 1 500 of these experiences across the UK. We are looking to work with barista trainers and passionate coffee shops who are able to handle demand ranging from 50 – 200 individual customers as a result of this promotion.
The initial introductory classes will incur no cost, fee or hidden charges for yourselves, it’s 100% free. For intermediate and advanced classes, we do however charge a flat rate of a 10% booking fee. This covers our costs to run the business, including advertising, marketing and day-to-day costs (staff, communications etc.).
The benefits of providing barista training courses:
- Create extra revenue streams from for your business
- Introduce new customers into your shop
- Raise the profile of your shop / brand
- Be part of the Blink Collective community and benefit from future bookings and other host advantages
- Educate and inspire the curious minded, leave them with a great insight into the world of real coffee. Open their taste buds, open their scent, open their eyes and open their minds!
- Be part of the campaign to support independent small businesses and promote quality, gourmet coffee. (Let’s halt this unrelenting wave of tasteless, burnt and frankly expensive coffee from major chains. The Public should be visiting the small coffee shops and creating fantastic coffee at home!)
We are targeting people looking for an introduction into the world of Coffee and whilst we appreciate that £30 is not a lot, this audience is ideally placed for up-selling existing, more expensive and in-depth courses. In addition to spreading the word about your business.
As you know, there is a lot more to being a Barista than the casual consumer might appreciate and this is the ideal way to open their eyes to what Coffee is really about!
I’m a highly experienced Barista and have a good reputation within the Barista Community. Will offering £30 introductory classes cheapen my brand?
Blink Collective strongly promote small businesses and the campaign is a great way to boost revenue streams. By being part of the introductory campaign, you’re helping to integrate others into the coffee community, they’ll be learning new skills and igniting their passion. We’re also encouraging hosts to list Intermediate and Advanced courses on our marketplace. They can range from Advanced Latte Art to Coffee Tasting to an Intensive course on opening their own coffee shop!
I’m worried I could’t teach the my classes in 90 minutes
The courses are purely introductory, they give customers an insight into the coffee world. They’ll not be expecting to learn a full range of Barista skills, but rather a great insight on coffee making at home.
Do I have to host the classes on set dates?
No. You’re in control of when you want to host the classes. You’ll receive bookings through Blink Collective and we’ll work in partnership with yourselves to help organise the bookings.
“This is a fantastic way to make our quiet times more profitable and fun! It also helps to build awareness for all aspects of our business.”
